What gift can i giv 2 mom .Flowers r boring.?

it%26#039;s my mom%26#039;s b%26#039;day and i can%26#039;t buy her ornaments. she doesn%26#039;t like dresses as gifts. soft toys aren%26#039;t perfect for her. what can i giv her besides cards?

What gift can i giv 2 mom .Flowers r boring.?
why not club to gather with your family and get a family portrait done, and take her out for a meal to present it to her.

Or why not get her a unusual gift like copy%26#039;s of the news paper from the day she was born.

foster a endangered animal for her
Reply:perfume.
Reply:Hmm...

Set of scented hangers, maybe a umbrella with a nice print, perfume/deordant scent, hair accessories, a magazine that she likes reading, maybe a cd of some artist that she likes, a DVD of a film she likes...
Reply:perfume or make up is good. or maybe a voucher for a haircut/manicure/ massage or other beauty treat.
Reply:Make something out of the heart. It really is the thought that counts. Take her out to dinner or something. I am telling you that whatver you give will be nice and i am sure she will appreciate it. Just remember, like i said, it is the thought that counts.
Reply:A gift certificate for a day at the spa. She can choose a manicure, pedicure, facial, massage etc. What a wonderful gift idea.

Invitation says "NO GIFTS" do I still get a gift?

My Aunt and Uncle%26#039;s 40th wedding aniversary party is tonight at a bar. Its nothing fancy. The invite says NO GIFTS. Is there something cheap and quick I should pick up (card?, flowers?) or should I just skip the gift idea?

Invitation says %26quot;NO GIFTS%26quot; do I still get a gift?
A card is great, its not really a gift, but it shows you care, you know?
Reply:Get a card, not a gift.

They probably have everything they need at that age and they do not want to clutter up the house with extra junk. Also, many people feel that if they come to something they must bring a gift so instead they just do not go. It probably is more important to your Aunt and Uncle that the whole family comes and they do not want anyone feeling bad for either not coming or bringing a cheap gift.
Reply:i%26#039;ve had one of these invitations before, but i still got a card. you dont have to buy anything but it would be a nice gesture if you did.
Reply:Just a card is fine. If you feel compelled to get them something, do a small gift card ($20 or so) that fits into the envelope, so it doesn%26#039;t stand out as a gift if no one else gets them anything.
Reply:Respect their wishes and don%26#039;t bring a gift to the party. It may embarrass them and make others uncomfortable that they didn%26#039;t bring a gift. Maybe you can send flowers or a card the next day, and mentioned you had a good time (if you did.)
Reply:I would not take anything, if you bring something then others will feel as though they should have done the same. Mail a card or send flowers if you feel something more is needed. Hugs can go a long way and to let them know you are happy in your life. Take the time and pray for their continued happiness and thank God for what he has given them in their life.
Reply:Yup you always get a gift and if you see no gifts there you just don%26#039;t bring in the gift.
Reply:I would%26#039;nt take a gift to the party, it may embarass those who did%26#039;nt, Maybe send some flowers to there home !
Reply:Send a gift tomorrow.
Reply:Just get a card, something sappy.
Reply:No gifts means no gifts. Just bring a card.
Reply:Cards or flowers are fine, but nothing major, like towels or hardware
Reply:A card. Just a card with your own words of celebration.
Reply:If they said %26quot;No Gifts%26quot; then a card is perfectly acceptable and the best way to show that you care. Just respect the %26quot;no gifts%26quot; thing - alot of people just want to spend time with those they love and really don%26#039;t need or want stuff - especially once you hit 40. Gifts for family really should be restricted to those 18 and under or weddings, showers etc... unless you%26#039;re especially close.
Reply:If you want, a card will do.
Reply:I would get a card for sure.
Reply:maybe a gag gift,or something to make everyone laugh, if its your relative and your close you can get them something and give it later.
Reply:When an invitation says %26quot;NO Gifts%26quot; they mean what they say. They are inviting you because they want to enjoy your company.
Reply:I%26#039;d take them at their word. If you bring a token and someone else doesn%26#039;t, then that person may feel bad. Maybe bring a bottle of wine to the celebration for everyone to share if the situation is appropriate. Otherwise, I do as they request.
Reply:just be there for them. ur time is more than a present.
Reply:no gifts means no gifts, a card is fine
Reply:Nice little question,,,YES,, when it says not gifts ,, you have to stick to it,,, BUT,,, if you want to check with them twice or trice,, you had better visit them acouple days ahead,, and get to know the real meaning of it, or else,, if they in their conversation,, you happend to know that they are in need of something you get it for them i meant if it is within your budjet,, of course,,,,Cherrs!!!
Reply:no gifts they said
Reply:ask other family members what they are doing, maybe you all could put a lil money in 1 big gift or something.
Reply:I think a nice card would be fine. Skip the gift.
Reply:I would bring a card at most. They don%26#039;t want to be juggling ten bouquets in the bar and on the way home. You could also ask them if there is a charity you could donate something to in their names (if you like them that much)
Reply:Always, always bring a gift EVEN IF the invitation says %26quot;No Gift%26quot;. In which case, you walk in without your gift and if you see no gifts you are fine; if you see gifts you say, %26quot;oh I left mine in the car and go back and get it%26quot; so you are always covered and never embarrassed.

In this case, I think some type of framed family picture should do nicely
Reply:if it says no gifts then dont worry about the gift, for all they know u cudda given them a good gift. THEY miss out. but yeah a card or a bottle of champagne or a bunch of flowers would nice.

Is it true that flowers can make a woman's happy after having a fight with her BF?

Flowers are the most chosen gift by men as they tend to melt the women%26#039;s heart...

Is it true that flowers can make a woman%26#039;s happy after having a fight with her BF?
depends on the fight

but YES it defiantly helps
Reply:YES try it and see.
Reply:No, showing that you care enough to admit that you were wrong and want to make it up is what cheers her up. Flowers can be a symbol of this, if you truely mean it.
Reply:if u ask me it%26#039;s a yes....!!!! especially roses.....they%26#039;re so beautiful n delicate...

No gifts from BF?

Ok....is it wierd that my bf in the two years we have been together has only gotton me gifts on my birthday and christmas? The only flowers I have ever gotton outside of those occaisions were %26quot;im sorry%26quot; flowers. I thought boyfriends got thier girls gifts once in a while? Even small stupid stuff....like a pair of socks he thought I might like....something...

No gifts from BF?
yea that kinda sux cause mine does random stuff just cause
Reply:Obviously, you bf wasn%26#039;t given the rules on how to court a lady. :) Maybe if you start giving him some spontaneous gifts, he%26#039;ll get into doing it as well.

Also, if you ever talk to him about this, you might want to say %26#039;You never give me signs/tokens of your affection%26#039; instead of %26#039;You never give me any gifts%26#039;.....
Reply:I totally feel you! My BF is the same way... nothing spontaneous ever... be it gifts, cards, or just a %26quot;special surprise%26quot; . All of those so called %26quot;Relationship%26quot; books out there say if a guy is really into you he will do all this stuff.... I think it is BS. I know he loves me but damn I would like to feel special every once in a while... I do things for him all the time.... reciprocation would be nice
Reply:I think you need to let him know how much you might appreciate a little gift every now and then just to let you know you are being thought of. Too many times we women expect men just to read our minds. That%26#039;s not fair and we deserve to be let down when they don%26#039;t perform to our standards without any knowledge of our desires. I had a girlfriend who would get upset with her man because he didn%26#039;t just %26quot;know%26quot; what she wanted! I tried to explain that she needed to spell it out for him, but nooooo. She would rather watch him fail to do her bidding and get angry when he didn%26#039;t %26quot;deliver%26quot;. INSANITY! If it%26#039;s a little gift you desire every now and then, let him know how much a small token given would be appreciated by you. If he fails to follow through, then you have a gripe. Best wishes!
Reply:You have high expectations.....just be happy that he%26#039;s even giving you gifts at all. You should really cherish the fact that he%26#039;s spending time with of you and he chooses you to be his girlfriend, that%26#039;s what really counts. All that other stuff, flower, candies, and gifts are superficial stuff! There are thousands of girls/ladies out there and your BF could kick you to the curb and get another in a heart beat. So, if you are so unhappy why don%26#039;t you just let him go and find another. If not, enjoy him and don%26#039;t sweat the small stuff.
Reply:He ain%26#039;t spontaneous. You could suggest to him that sometimes he bring something sweet for you, like other guys do. It might not be lack of generosity, just that he can%26#039;t think of stuff like that.
Reply:No, it%26#039;s not weird since there are so many guys like that. Weird is if only a handful of guys are like that. You just happen to get a boyfriend who is not as romantic as you want him to be. But the real question you need to answer yourself is this: are random gifts really that important to you? I think the most important thing is how kind he is to you and how loyal he is to you. It%26#039;s not easy to find guys like that that you like and like you at the same time.

Also, it%26#039;s possible that his financial situation is not that good, so he can%26#039;t afford to buy random gifts when he can barely pay his bills every month.
Reply:How old is he? Does he have a job? Is he supporting himself, or living at home with his MOMMY? Have you bought him any gifts? Maybe he just doesn%26#039;t have enough experience with women yet. Or maybe he is just selfish.
Reply:Be happy he gets you presents on your birthday and xmas. My ex never got me anything ever.

Guys dont think like girls do, they dont always think to buy you little things all the time. You should be happy and appreciate the man you have, and not what he buys you.

If you love him it shouldnt matter that he only buys you gifts on two occasions.
Reply:can i send you sumpin??

Guy Gifts?

ok...for gifts guys get girls jewlry and flowers and teddy bears and candy and cute things like that.

what does a girl get a guy?

im kinda confused...

Guy Gifts?
guys like candy too.
Reply:Get him a box of condoms....that%26#039;s always a great gift.
Reply:beer and food. also since most of us don%26#039;t make time to go shopping, clothes are good
Reply:Well it depends on the occassion, and how old the guy is. Guysliike cologne and watches. Maybe you could buy him a sweatshirt. If you update with mor infromation i can edit my answer to be more specific.
Reply:Get him one of those restaurant gift cards. Then he can take you out to dinner often. Nobody likes to eat alone.
Reply:Guys like trinkets, watches. Cheap everyday gifts could be itunes gift certificates, a gift card from his favourite coffee shop etc...
Reply:For gifts, think practical. If he can USE it today it is a good gift.
Reply:I would say if the guy like sports which many guy do. A great gift would be tickets to watch his favorite team, my wife gave me Yankees tickets to a game and went with me to the game even though she doesn%26#039;t like baseball, but she went to make me happy and i was thrilled that she was there because we had a great time
Reply:You should get him something he can collect or use in alot of ocasions like a baseball, shoes, a hat, or maybe a shirt
Reply:Something he can actually use. Most guys do not want the sentimental bauble that just sits around and does nothing. But it%26#039;s also different for every guy so you have to know the guy and what he likes. But that isn%26#039;t hard since most guys don%26#039;t hide who they are.

Alert Alert Alert. Guys do not like cologne or watches. They will smile and thank you but trust me they don%26#039;t want cufflinks, ties, watches, etc...

Trust me if you look at the guy you will know. He%26#039;s all surface. Your friend is right. Something related to the hobby. In this case music. Please do not go shopping for clothes I can promise you that you will not get him what he would get himself. Again he%26#039;ll smile and thank you and maybe even wear it once but guys have closet corners full of stuff the gf bought.
Reply:The silly answer is that guys want girls so get him one ;)

To be serious though...

Gifts should always be personal. I know that a lot of people would say that it is easy to give something like Jewelry or flowers or candy to a girl. But does she like Roses, Tulips, or Orchids?

Does she prefer Gold, silver, diamonds, pearls, emeralds or something else entirely?

Men are the same way. We don%26#039;t all like the same thing and even if we did we have preferences within the general categories.

If you know someone well enough to want to give them a gift then you want to give them something they will like.

My best advice is to give a guy something he wants but would never get for himself. Give him something that will make him think of you whenever he sees it.
Reply:hey its the t man saying not all guys but most guys {not me im more mature to fall for stuff like this} want sex
Reply:Sometimes girls get a suit for guys. the most specil gift that a guy could get is like what he likes. I am sure those will work
Reply:any thing for his car, or electronics. Makes them happy every time..... or strip show?? :P
Reply:Watches, wallets, belts, ties, shoes, shirt, hat, jacket, shades.
Reply:Its hard you have to be creative. depending on the weather a couple pairs of basketball shorts, nice t%26#039;s, or even a pair of tennis shoes. Tickects to some sort of game. Or a pamper day of a nice restaurant, movies, a cake at home with a back rub. Maybe go out of town for the weekend. A new jacket, jewelry (necklace), even the old fashion money in a card.
Reply:I get my boyfriend candy. lol its the only thing you can get them XD they hardly like anything else %26lt;3 GOOD LUCK

I have always wondered too.
Reply:Yep, candy and chocolates

specially if spread generously all over your body...

Gifts to Celebrities? Nascar Drivers? PPL you admire???

My husband and I were talking about why a %26quot;fan%26quot; gives a gift??? Princess Diana received SO MANY flowers and stuffed animals during her walk-abouts. (I read somewhere that she always donated the items to a local hospital) We send gifts to Nascar drivers, and our favorite actors....why?

Is it a way of connecting? Sharing? Showing this person that you admire them???

I am not talking about being a psycho-stalker fan here...let%26#039;s assume that the fans are mentally healthy:)

I am sure I will get plenty of smart-a** answers...but I am really curious about this. So obviously, the 10 points will go to the most informative answer:)

Gifts to Celebrities? Nascar Drivers? PPL you admire???
I have no idea why anyone would do something like that except as a bizarre attention getting exercise. I have even less idea why people have %26quot;heroes%26quot; or a fans. I%26#039;ve met and worked with famous people most of my life, including senior politicians, sports %26quot;stars%26quot;, senior churchmen in several christian sects (catholic, uniting church, anglican and mormon), artists, authors and media figures. They are all just humans. The very best achievers in most fields tend to be selfish, driven people (you have to be to get that good).

The cults of personality are based on the most idiotic of pretenses any way. Why aren%26#039;t brilliant scientists, humanitarians, philosophers, researchers and the like admired instead of the plethora of %26quot;celebreties%26quot; whose only claim to fame is that they get paid insane amounts of money for being able to read lines on film, lip synch badly to appallingly written pop music, or simply happen to be famous because they have rich parents?
Reply:There is no way I would send a gift to a celeb for entertaining me. There gift is fame and fortune, they got more than I do, so if I can afford it they would not want it anyway.

They are only people, You do realize this I hope

Language of flowers: something that says goodbye and good luck?

I%26#039;m looking for flowers that represent new beginings and say goodbye and good luck for a close friend who is moving away. I want to give my friend some flowers as a good away gift. What are some good flowers to use?

Language of flowers: something that says goodbye and good luck?

Hawthorn is for promoting fertility, happiness, and good luck

In fishing. Seems like these flowers appropriately go together!

Guadalupe with her sacred Day being December 12.

%26quot;Sweet flowers alone can say what passion fears revealing,%26quot; noted the poet Thomas Hood (1799-1485) in his poem The Language of Flowers.
Reply:I just know yellow is friendship.
Reply:Peach Roses are always a winner.
Reply:Are these cut flowers or live? Yellow is a good color, like yellow daisies.

If you want to give a living plant, consider a lucky bamboo plant (the kind that sits in a pot of water and gravel). Another plant that means prosperity is a jade plant (succulent). Expecially the kind with the really small leaves. Best thing about a jade plant is that it%26#039;s almost impossible to kill them.
Reply:800Florals.com at http://www.800florals.com/care/meaning.a... listed these:

Good luck = white carnation and bells of Ireland

Good bye = cyclamen %26amp; sweet pea

Has 1800 Flowers ever screwed up your Valentine's Day??

Yeah ok -- so get this -- both my bf and i buy gifts for each other from 1800-Flowers, advertised here on Yahoo. We both place our orders to be delivered yesterday in aticipation that it would be very busy today.

Not only did neither one of us get them yesterday do to some poor excuses, but it is 6:15 pm PST time in CAlifornnia and we both still do not have them and are needing to go to dinner soon which means that we probably will not get them today.

Now not only is the surprise gone, but while everyone else has their gift, our wellplanned ones on our part, never made it. Thank you 1800-Flowers

Has 1800 Flowers ever screwed up your Valentine%26#039;s Day??
No but I have never used them and this will probably make me think twice about using them in the future. Thanks for the warning.
Reply:So sorry. That SUCKS.
Reply:No, I have never tried 1800 Flowers. I usually order from Pro Flowers, and everything so far has always been delivered on time. Sorry to hear about that though, happy V-day anyways.

Gifts based on gender??

do you judge people on what they like..based on gender??

many people say that the best gifts to give a woman are=flowers, chocolate, a card, jewlary..%26amp; men=watches and pens+any sporty stuff.

dude...if someone buys me a presant,t%26#039;would be a waste of $$ to buy a card w/it..i don%26#039;t like cards, i will throw them away and if that person wants to say a special comment like %26quot;happy birthday%26quot; they can just say it..i%26#039;m not death. if we%26#039;re talking flowers, i%26#039;d just give them away to my sister or w/e..%26quot;here i got these for you%26quot;..and jewlary? well no one has my taste so i%26#039;d rather buy it myself..THAT%26#039;S IT..and i%26#039;m a girl.

not all women are tender+melt easily.. some might but not all..women can love sports, they can hate flowers and some don%26#039;t wear jewlary.

men can like flowers..i%26#039;ve seen many wear jewlary (mostly rings)..some are into poetry, some hate sports, and many love chocolate! chocolate isn%26#039;t womanly, it%26#039;s a yummie treat that many people love.

Gifts based on gender??
Nah, I give gifts on the basis of what the person wants/likes instead of basing it on their gender.
Reply:If I were going to give you a gift, it would be a spelling dictionary, regardless of your gender.

Why is it that everyone always says to give her flowers and chocolates?

I want to do something UNIQUE and ORIGINAL for my girlfriend. I don%26#039;t like doing the typical cliche stereotype whatever thing, because she is expecting that. It feels weird to go the standard way for me, because it is nothing special. Well, it is, but, not AS memorable...

So..... who can tell me the best way to show love to a girl or to apologize WITHOUT using chocolates and flowers? My girlfriend doesn%26#039;t like gifts much. I%26#039;ve given her chocolates and stuff, but she%26#039;s not that type.

Give me a real story that happened to you or somebody you know. Or your best idea.

10 points to the best story/idea!!!

oh yeah, and don%26#039;t forget to tell me why girls want flowers! if you know

THANK YOU !! I APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT!

Why is it that everyone always says to give her flowers and chocolates?
well my boyfriend doesnt really like the gifts i buy him either....so i try and make things for him that i know he%26#039;ll like....i know it sounds kinda corny but its true. example: hes loves art (not very good at it himself, but ya know lol) and im a very artistic person and he loves all my pieces of artwork. so for his birthday last year i painted him a picture of a red snapdragon (a flower) and he just fell in love with it. it was something inexpensive for me and it also was something that came from the heart. so get/make her something that you know she%26#039;ll love....whether its art, a new soccer ball, a remix cd of her favorite bands....hope this helps
Reply:Why not cook her dinner?!

btw Flowers and candy is viewed as a classic and caring gift.
Reply:Ya%26#039;,then she gets all fat from all that candy

and they get mad at her for it!!! What a set

up that really can backfire!!!!

The best way I know is to take her to a very

romatic place like a lovely garden and have

a pic-nic with you and a mini cd player and

spread out a blanket and talk to her while it%26#039;s

a cool,but not chilly star-lit night!!!

So romantic and so thoughtful at the same time.

Pick her one of the prettiest flowers while you

are there.
Reply:Woman loved being pampered...........flowers are a thing of beauty, just like the woman you are giving them to.So give them to her wearing a gorilla suit..........show you have character
Reply:Why not create a memory album of your relationship .. place poems, thoughts and pictures into it.

I really don%26#039;t know your age so I don%26#039;t know what would be appropiate for you and your girlfriend. But you of all people should know what would be best and what she would like.

How much money are you willing to spend? Are you over 18? Is she over 18?

Men if u date someone who makes the same amount of money as u do u buy them less gifts?

i have been dating mark for 3 yrs now and get gifts on my bday and xmas only.i got flowers once a 2 cards in 3 yrs.now his exwife(who was a stay at home mom) and last gf(single mom with no money) got flowers monthly, boxes of cards, expensive gifts ect.now i don%26#039;t want expensive gifts but just wonder why he does not do for me as he did for them. Its not because he got burnt becuase they did not apprecite the gifts i know they did.and i allways give him little gifts/cards for no reason and never ask for anything in return.the only thing different between me and his ex%26#039;s is i have more money so does that mean i get less gifts/love letters?

Men if u date someone who makes the same amount of money as u do u buy them less gifts?
he must have loved them more than he loves you......you don%26#039;t know whether his girlfriends or ex-wife appreciate their gifts or not.......

hey if the only difference between you and the ex%26#039;s is you have more money, you must be on your way to being the next ex...since it didn%26#039;t work with them.....

Make sure you keep tabs on every cent you spend so at the end of the year you can show it too him; since you think love is things........
Reply:so you%26#039;re a material girl?
Reply:U r too calculative.
Reply:Gifts to someone I care about does not have anything to do with diferences in income levels. Thought it might have something to do with the amout of %26quot;things%26quot; we had. I%26#039;d find or do something more personal vs buying another object.
Reply:It might have something to do with the income.

If he sees you buying yourself stuff he probably figures you dont need him to buy it. And how do you know what he bought his ex%26#039;s? Try not to compare yourself to them its not worth it.
Reply:Nope, her income has nothing to do with it.

Sure it is possible that he thinks he doesn%26#039;t need to provide gifts because of the amount of money you make.BUT. I%26#039;m going to assume that this man is not a material based shallow person when I say that he probably is just treating his new relationship differently than his old ones. In other words, he probably thinks that he will get the same results as he did before by doing the same things. 2+2 always =4, and I think he wants more and is trying to add more to the equation.
Reply:Maybe it%26#039;s not so much about you making the same amount of money, or even because he was burned in the past, as much as it could be that for once in his life, someone is lavishing him with gifts. Just remember that love isn%26#039;t about fancy gifts, flowers and cards, it%26#039;s about enjoying spending time with each other and finding a new reason to love that person each and every day.
Reply:I think it may be that he showered his first wife with gifts, etc, and look how that turned out! Maybe he figures he won%26#039;t take that route again! I doubt it has anything to do with your income.

it should have nothing to do with how much you do or don%26#039;t make and everything to do with showing love through actions and how romantic he is.

it may also be that he%26#039;s gotten into a rut and is too comfortable with the situation that he%26#039;s in and doesn%26#039;t think about it.

OR he may feel that he%26#039;s gotten burned in those 2 relationships that you mentioned and he may think that is the reason why the relationships haven%26#039;t worked out.

my advice is that you TALK to him about it and let him know how you feel. he probably doesn%26#039;t realize that this bothers you. also, give him an easy option and tell him that the things don%26#039;t have to be expensive or cost any money at all...a surprise picnic once in a while or letters/cards...are low if any cost....not everything needs to be roses once a month or anything like that. Let him know you understand the financial situation but you would just like a little more acknowledgement and attention.

Honey, this clearly bugs you. The only way out for you is to talk to him about it.

That probably sounds scary: %26quot;OMG! - he might get scared off and I lose my BF!%26quot;

You%26#039;ve known him 3 years so you should be able to be open and honest with him (especially if you have been %26#039;intimate%26#039;).

First, however - check yourself out: how do you KNOW how much he gave his ex-wife and his previous girlfriend as gifts, flowers, cards?

What I suggest is that you ask him whether or not he gave his ex the amount of stuff you think he did? and his previous girl? Then tell him that it seems he%26#039;s giving you less than he gave them - %26quot;What%26#039;s different?%26quot; is the line you might want to use.

Try to not make it about yourself - %26quot;What%26#039;s changed with HIM that he is acting differently now toward his significant other than he did in the past?%26quot;

There could be explanations that are not about you - for example, he may be afraid of making any committments so he is backing down on the amount of commitment-signs he gives out to ANYBODY. That%26#039;s not about you - it%26#039;s about him.

By the way, if I was over 25 and dating a girl for 3 yrs I would have made up my mind by then if this was a long-term thing or not.
Reply:thats not really nice, believe me i would be upset, but i would not know how to tell him.

What flowers should i get for a girl friends mother? First time meeting parents?

I am meeting my girl friends parents today and would like to get a gift for the mom. Flowers or not? What kind are ok

What flowers should i get for a girl friends mother? First time meeting parents?
I really love getting mother%26#039;s yellow roses.

Yellow roses signify joy, gladness, friendship and devotion

http://www.feldis.com/s/meaning.htm

If you do not have a lot of money get a single yellow rose with some baby breaths. with a lil note card of course.
Reply:pick her up a plant not flowers. and not a cactus
Reply:Go to the florist and get a fresh flower mix. Its not too forward and shows you have compassion. It also gets you off on the right foot with the mom, which is always the parent you want on your good side. The dad hates you by default because you are dating his daughter, but if the mom likes you she will stick up for you with him and you win. Good thinking on the flowers.
Reply:Flowers are good.Daisys or mixed flowers are good.
Reply:Gerbera, or some type of daisies. Most women like them and they are not too awkward like giving roses. Don%26#039;t give a plant, make it a nice bunch of cut flowers.
Reply:Flowers would be a very nice touch. I know it would probably do it for THIS mom %26gt;;-)

Stop at the florist and pick up a nice bouquet of mixed seasonal flowers, and a nice moderately priced vase.
Reply:Just a nice spring bouquet will be great. Her mother will think you are a perfect gentleman. Also bring some yellow roses to your girlfriend. Yellow is for friendship.
Reply:I think sunflowers are nice.
Reply:noo flowers are a bit too much, thats for like mothers day or her bday.
Reply:A spring mix is good..mums, daisies, baby%26#039;s breath. NO ROSES! That would be too much...plus the next time you buy your girl roses, it won%26#039;t mean as much!

A great valentine gift for my wife, besides flowers? I need ideas. It can be delivered or I can pick up.?

I have bought gifts from edible arrangements. I was thinking about Snookie Cookies. I know some one out there will have something original and different.

A great valentine gift for my wife, besides flowers? I need ideas. It can be delivered or I can pick up.?
Go for something she would want, but doesn%26#039;t want to spend the money for (hobbies, clothing, mini-vacation). Example: treat her and your daughter to a Day spa. If she doesn%26#039;t like spas, volunteer to take care of the kids, while she has a girls night out.
Reply:I think the best valentine gift is a love letter written in your hand writing on good paper. Then get her a voucher for a massage or something to pamper her. Or get a hotel room with a hot tub just for one night and take her there and just love her all night long, but make sure you still do the love letter. Make sure it is how you feel about her, how she smells, looks, how she turns you on, what you feel when you see her etc.
Reply:Take her out to dinner at her favorite restaurant, and buy her a diamond ring.
Reply:You could check out the website - http://www.ExpressionPrints.com - it allows you to upload a photo of your own or use one from their gallery. Then you can add text such as a personal message or love poem on top of the image and it even allows you to apply effects to the photo. Nice site to create a really personalized photo gift for someone special in your life.
Reply:Take her away from home for the night to a nice motel. Enjoy a nice dinner and relax.
Reply:Well, this is what I would like. A gift certificate for a manicure and pedicure or an entire spa day. You have to have something else that she can enjoy along with the gift certificate, too. So, give her a romantic card with something you know she likes such as chocolate or the Snookie%26#039;s Cookies. Maybe a bottle of champagne, too. Just some thoughts.
Reply:If you want something flashy, get a car or jewlrey, we girls LOVE jewlrey. If its something small and thoughtful, take her out to dinner and tell her how much she means to you, dont be afraid to tell her everything
Reply:pick her up in a limo and take her to private Hot Tubs.....and a bottle of wine....D%26#039; la Rosa, made in italy, Il Canto d%26#039;iabla...
Reply:Hmmm....well something original would be a weekend getaway for the both of you. Nothing to expensive, nor does it have to be in a different state...just away from your normal surroundings. Make up a romantic coupon booklet to give to her on v-day and just have some fun. Here is a link that I found, check it out!
Reply:Stop being cheap and get her a Rolex.

Gifts for Ushers and Pageboy?

I have found the %26#039;When I Was A Bridesmaid%26#039; book by Antonia Swinson http://www.amazon.co.uk/o/ASIN/184172311...

Which I plan to use as a memorable gift for the flower girl, and bridesmaids (all under 10yrs old)

All the ushers and pageboy are also under 10yrs old, but I can%26#039;t seem to find the same type of gift aimed at them.

Any ideas on what we could get?

Budget of £10-15 max (each gift)

Gifts for Ushers and Pageboy?
Gifts canbe anything. I%26#039;ll tell you what I bought for my wedding party and maybe you can get some ideas. Bridesmaids got necklace and earrings, groomsmen and ushers got wallets, the flowergirl got a porceline flowergirl figurine and the ringbearer got a porceline piggy bank with his name on it. Also the parents (dads) got pocket watches, and moms got %26#039;mom%26#039; necklaces. Hope this helps.

Which gift do women prefer most, flowers or chocolate?

I prefer to give chocolate as gifts. Chocolate is like catnip for women.

Which gift do women prefer most, flowers or chocolate?
That depends on whether she is on a diet or not. If you are giving it to her personally, I%26#039;d go with chocolate, but both is good. You get extra brownie points for having flowers delivered to her work, though.
Reply:try platinum jewelry. slam dunka!
Reply:No chocolates!

You want to score big points

with a woman give flowers or

a stuffed animal.

No chocolates!
Reply:I prefer flowers
Reply:definitely chocolate...I don%26#039;t like flowers because they die chocolate does something to a women.
Reply:flowers
Reply:Oh chocolates always . Plus chocolates is an aphrodisiac
Reply:Gift for what? That matters hugely, flowers and chocolate being transient. I have problems with the artificial scents that some florists put on their flowers, but a single red rose on a second serious date is worth it. Especially if the guy is kind enough to not wear cologne.

A small box of high-quality truffles delivered with a sweet note is always good. Organic, dark chocolate preferred. ;-)

But what%26#039;s really special is something that reflects who I am and what matters most to me. Aside from friendship, music is a big part of that. Two tickets to a concert and someone to go with would be the best gift I could get.

Find out what touches her most and go from there.
Reply:Definately flowers - and not your typical red roses. Do something different.
Reply:well .. tough question.. I flowers wud be a better choice..
Reply:both
Reply:Diamonds are forever!
Reply:Chocolate is a waste of time for weight-conscious women. Flowers are okay, as long as they%26#039;re not the grocery store special. If you want to really get on a woman%26#039;s good side, be more personal and original than either one.
Reply:Flowers are more romantic and don%26#039;t get you fat !

I can still remember the first flowers I received when I

was a teenager , but I cannot remember the first chocolates

a boyfriend gave me !
Reply:Both are like putting band-aids on a major wound...women like jewelry. Perfume, not cologne, is a good choice, but not anything cheap.
Reply:i would rather get jewellery as a gift . i dont like chocolate or flowers
Reply:I don%26#039;t consider chocolate or flowers a gift. Technically they are gifts, but they seem kind of like %26quot;side dish%26quot; gifts...like you would give a woman a gift AND flowers or a gift AND chocolate.

Kind of like if you get a steak at a restaurant you can get some sauteed onions for on top...but getting a plate of onions on their own isn%26#039;t much of a meal.

So call me selfish or whatever but chocolate or flowers seems like a stock, copout gift that you would give someone if you don%26#039;t know them well....unless you know for sure that they absolutely adore a certain variety of either.
Reply:Chocolate for sure. I%26#039;m a female, but every time I receive flowers I smell them.. look at them for a minute and forget about them. I actually tell my boyfriend that they are a waste of $ and I don%26#039;t want anymore.
Reply:my x told me she wanted chocolate but everyone is different.
Reply:Not all women lust for chocolate. I, myself would prefer something more meaningful and isn%26#039;t going to make me gain those few extra un-needed pounds. I%26#039;m a sucker for candles, a good card, snowglobes, picture frame.
Reply:Gold. I know it wasn%26#039;t on your list but it really is the favorite.
Reply:Chocolate. Flowers die.
Reply:Chocolate... if she does not have a green thumb, then the flowers will die.
Reply:Flowers because some women dont like to eat that much chocolate so they dont gain too much weihgt.
Reply:I think that flowers are a great gift and they look good on your table for about a week. The chocolate goes straight to the thighs!!
Reply:actually no chocolate is more an endorphin not a stimulant to females.

anyways... do a little of both.. really get her going.. and put some spumante with it also.

spumante and choclate are a great duet. OH don%26#039;t forget candles... and make her a dinner. you%26#039;ll be so in the seat with her for a long time.
Reply:It really depends.. both might be special.
Reply:Just get both youu can%26#039;t go wrong.
Reply:Depends on the woman you wanna give the flowers/chocolates to! I personally prefer flowers. If you%26#039;re asking because you%26#039;re not sure which to give to a woman, I suggest asking her INDIRECTLY so you%26#039;ll know. All women are different.
Reply:flowers
Reply:Neither

I%26#039;m not a huge fan of chocolate and flowers die within a wk

A gorgeous flowering plant would trip my trigger and can last for years.

Looking for fresh flowers-by-the-stem in Singapore?

Looking for a good large flower market or wholesaler in Singapore who can sell flowers by the stem or bunch (ie. NOT pre-arranged or in a bouquet / gift pacakge). All the flower stores in the main retail areas sell silk flowers by the stem, but fresh flowers only as arrangements and charge a fortune.

Can anyone recommend a large fresh flower market in Singapore where I can buy fresh flowers by the stem or by the bunch? In partiuclar, I am looking for Tuberoses (Xin Xiao / Bunga Dedap Malam), but any large flower markets would be a good start!

Thanks.

Why do women always want to buy gifts for their soldier?

Im not knocking gift buying.

But why do women, always want to buy gifts for everything?

We see the question in here all the time.

What to buy someone graduating Basic/Boot.

What to buy someone graduating AIT.

What to buy someone deploying.

What to buy someone coming back from deployment.

Is it, because, you find yourself in a situation where you have no control over whats happening, and it lets you assume some sort of control and makes you fell involved ?

I look at it from the male perspective, and I can%26#039;t see buying someone a gift for those occassions, beside flowers when she came home.

Im just trying to get some insight into the female mind.

Help me out here, please.

Why do women always want to buy gifts for their soldier?
Well, basic and ait, both accomplishments, therefore give a gift to say congratulations. deploying, its a farewell gift. coming back, its a welcome home gift.....i look at it as i know i would want those times recognized because those are important times in my life. i give my hubby a gift for every little accomplishment he does, i.e. he just finished his first college class and passed, i bought him a cute bbq apron and bbq utensils for when him and his buddies bbq, just to say good job hunny im proud of you. Not only that, but I know a lot of guys that give flowers for all those reasons you just mentioned also.
Reply:Ever heard the expression %26quot;Don%26#039;t look a gift horse in the mouth%26#039;?

Is it the gifts that bother you or the feeling that you have to reciprocate? I know for myself I enjoy showing my appreciation for my man with a gift now and then whether it%26#039;s a thing or an action. Sometimes it%26#039;s a six pack of his favorite beer if it sounds like he%26#039;s had a rough day and needs to unwind. We do it because it makes us feel good to show we think about you and love you. And a gift should always be given with no strings attached otherwise it%26#039;s not a gift it%26#039;s a bribe.
Reply:Jeepers: I have many sisters and have learned a LOT about women over the years. The most important thing I%26#039;ve learned is that it%26#039;s impossible to understand them. They don%26#039;t even understand themselves.
Reply:i know i like to get things for my solider husband because i love him so much and he is my life and my hero plus women like to shop when stressed and heck why not buy a gift for there solider i do it allot i think it helps me cope with him being away allot and it makes him feel appreciated and he knows that i am always thinking about him

we just like to show we care and to let them know we are there for them and cheering them on its a major thing and a very accomplished thing to be a solider

sometimes i don%26#039;t buy gifts but make home made ones to keep me busy and creativity is best when it comes from the heart as well
Reply:Women are stupid that way, trying to get insight into the female mind will only make you stupid too.

Just nod your head and act like they are actually accomplishing something.
Reply:I gave my husband a gift after he graduated from boot camp and from A school. I love to give him lil gifts. It is just a way of showing i care for him. He does the same thing for me. Its jst a way of showing some 1 that you care and love them, thats all.
Reply:Because we love them
Reply:Don%26#039;t worry about it.

At all.

Ever.

That was my approach and eventually I stopped getting all that useless junk I didn%26#039;t need or want, didn%26#039;t care for, and soon lost.

She DID get me a bottle of Wild Turkey for my birthday once and that was greatly appreciated, but really ladies, guys buy the things they need when they need them and really don%26#039;t want to be encumbered with useless knick-knacks whose only value is sentimental.
Reply:I dunno, because they freakin%26#039; care. If you don%26#039;t want a gift just say so.
Reply:Women are giving that%26#039;s why. We like to nurture and be loved.
Reply:Military wives lack intelligence. Why would any woman date a man in the military let alone marry one. She obviously is very desperate to spend the majority of her life waiting for a man to get home.

Military men aren%26#039;t very smart either. They shouldn%26#039;t be allowed to marry until they get out. 4 years or career. It doesn%26#039;t matter.

What color and type of flowers is the proper gift for a leading actress or actor in a live theatre production?

Roses or carnations, or something else entirely?

How many, and what color(s)?

What color and type of flowers is the proper gift for a leading actress or actor in a live theatre production?
Usually a bouquet of red roses are given out at our theatre. However, single carnations are nice to give out for those who don%26#039;t want to spend the money on a whole bouquet.

If I were you, I%26#039;d get red roses. But please don%26#039;t get the kind of flowers that have petals that fall off easily because they pose a serious threat to the performers.

Think about it, if the performer was allergic to the flowers they couldn%26#039;t perform, or if a performer slipped from some petals on the stage...

some things to think about really.
Reply:While a dozen red roses are the norm, I suggest something more original. You can ask the florist to make up a %26quot;dramatic%26quot; bouquet....it will be admired and talked about much more than red roses. When red roses arrive backstage, everyone says %26quot;aw%26quot; and thinks %26quot;how nice%26quot;....when a more dramatic bouquet arrives backstage, everone inhales with surprize and thinks %26quot;wow!%26quot;....it makes you look like a more interesting person. Try a bouquet featuring a few each of gladiolus and dendrobium, plus a few other (less expensive) flowers to fill it out. Think color, think drama, but skip the roses, in my opinion.
Reply:There is no Industry standard, despite any other answsers. It%26#039;s the GESTURE that matters.

Certainly YOU can inflate your own ego, and perhaps an Actresses to a higher level by spending more money,,, but there are no RULES.

You might do a service however, by inquiring in advance as to HER faves??? Or as one answers states,,, HER possible allergies???

It also may depend on the size of the production, the status of the actress, locally or globally, and certainly your budget.

Life is long,,, Pace yourself,,, I hope you won%26#039;t make this a driving force in how you conduct your life in general? No offense.

Steven Wolf
Reply:I would say two to three dozeen red roses.
Reply:if you know the person as a friend, something besides red roses is always nice to get. Perhaps you could splurge and get the actress a single orchid - or something along those lines. I can tell you from experience, it is the gift of the flower (and not how many or what kind) that really matters.

btw, I completely agree with an earlier answer. Nothing that falls all over the place and gets the stage all messed up. That is just annoying.
Reply:stunning and daring. Big deep long stemmed dark red roses would be classic. Gorgeous brilliant colored Tulips good too.
Reply:I think that orchids and red roses are the typical stereotype for theatre bouquets.

Be different...give the gift of cheerful, bright yellow daffodils! Be original, anything that is daring, different, and not cheap-seeming (hand-picked wildflowers might not go over too well). Show them that they are too special for the same old-same old. If you feel that you must get roses, then find a colour that is different - salmon or coral or magenta.
Reply:red roses, i would say about 30 roses
Reply:All the above are right. Roses are generally the first choice. BUT never buy yellow flowers as they signify jealousy- not a good idea in a performers dressing room!

What kind of gifts does a grown woman, who has children, want?

Ok, I need to get gifts for my best friend%26#039;s mom. Since it%26#039;s Christmas, but I%26#039;m already trying to earn enough cash to buy gifts for my best friend which is hard enough, not to mention for her little siblings. So what is cheap but still a great gift? I know about candy, flowers, make-up and jewelry, but what else?

What kind of gifts does a grown woman, who has children, want?
A woman with children...you call her janani, a devout mother though, the gifts that she would want will remain endless and that you want to pick for her is boundless. A gift however is anything parted with pleasure by the one who gives away and cherished as a treasure by the one who receives it. If you agree with me on that then i would suggest you try this... buy her a lovely greeting card and mark these words from your heart:

%26quot;Dear Auntie,

I might buy you sweets, chocolates, dolls, jewelry, flowers, make-up items, dresses and every thing you had ever wished for...But they will all perish....So i am giving you this card with all my love and respect for you and that will be forever. Do bless me on Chrismas day that all my dreams should come true...%26quot;.

Reply:Get her a gift certificate for a local spa or for a makeover at Glamour Shots, like that. You could also give her some sweet little handmade coupns good for one or two nights out of the house and believe me, she will probably love that. It is so nice to hear from a thoughtful, sweet young person like yourself. I am not digging for points, especially since I cannot buy anything I like for giving a good answer. I would buy you a really phat pair of shoes if I could just for asking such a caring question.
Reply:Some thing to keep in her prayer room or bed side will be a good choice.
Reply:A gift certificate to the Day Spa for a pedicure or a massage would be nice.
Reply:I am assuming you are old enough to watch the kids. Make her up a Little booklet with coupons in it of things you will do for her: 3 free hours of baby sitting, take care of the younger kids while she takes a long leisurely soak in the tub, lunch made for her and the kids, clean her kitchen, watch th ekids while she takes a nice long nap, that sort of stuff. A grown woman with kids would LOVE someone to give her a bit of time to herself with out a fight, argument or monetary out lay.

Ladies, are FLOWERS still an acceptable gift?

Oh yes.

Had a boyfriend that would pick me huge bouquets of wildflowers and leave them on my front porch. Have a husband that once filled every vase I own with 25 roses and 25 carnations.

I have a flower stand on the way home and we get very busy sometimes and one anniversary I stopped on the way home and got 3 bouquets of flowers and laid them on the front set of my car. When I walked in I said %26quot;I have a few things in my car, can you give me a hand bringing them in?%26quot;

My husband walked in a minute later with all the flowers and when I saw him I said %26quot; Oh how beautiful%26quot; Threw my arms around him and gave him a kiss. He just smiled.

Ladies, are FLOWERS still an acceptable gift?
Yes, but i agree you need to watch the colors. Yellow means friendship... A single red rose is nice
Reply:To me it shows a lack of creativity, but I still think they%26#039;re beautiful and I%26#039;m grateful whenever I receive them.
Reply:Of course. Pick pretty colors.
Reply:Yes, one rose would be nice.

( :
Reply:A flowering pot plant is a better gift IMO. Flowers is an ephemeral gift unless you have it preserved!
Reply:Very much so I would say.
Reply:yes, very much so. Women love flowers! Just do a little research and make sure you give her flowers she likes.

Women do dislike certain flowers. For example I use to hate roses because at my great grandma%26#039;s funeral I was given roses and since then I%26#039;d cry every time I saw some. I%26#039;m getting over that now though.
Reply:yea! they smell beautiful!
Reply:ya baby!when are you gonna gimme?
Reply:Um, no...they are a prerequisite.
Reply:yes i think they are... when will i get them??/
Reply:I think so, I personally love flowers =)
Reply:yes, if you are really sincere to the girl and if it is her favorite.
Reply:for some woman yes

for me no

-why spend money on something that will eventually die? take me to the mall shopping or something...buy me something i can keep forever
Reply:Um i am noit a lady ..but I get my mom new flowers every 2 weeks ..not that shes ever here ..always traveling to make more stupid money
Reply:yes
Reply:Yes but watch the colors of flowers that you give.
Reply:yea, just make sure they are her fav :D
Reply:YES! except it depends on the situation.. graduation.. yes.. birthday or christmas.. is a big no no! and easter is a no no (alone atleast)
Reply:Absolutely, no special occasion need they just smell good, brighten up the special room in your and puts a smile on your face.
Reply:Flowers are always an acceptable gift.

Just make sure you don%26#039;t give red roses unless you are serious about whomever you are giving them too!
Reply:Hell, yes!

And, of course, if there%26#039;s a teddy bear accompanying the flowers, that%26#039;s even better.

I think I know the answer on this one, but not positive.

Girls - Are flowers still a romantic gift, or are they a played out pain to care for?
Flowers are always romantic. Sure, it can be a bit of a hassle if you don%26#039;t have a vase handy, but it%26#039;s always sweet.
Reply:of course they are!

Is sending flowers appropriate as a gift to an orthodontic office for the completion of my treatment?

That would be a very nice gesture. I%26#039;m sure they will appreciate it.

Is sending flowers appropriate as a gift to an orthodontic office for the completion of my treatment?
Very nice, but very %26quot;over the top%26quot; they should send YOU something in thanks for the thousands of dollars you and your insurance paid. LOL Report It

Reply:Only if you want to ask your dentist out on a date.

Other than that, a simple thank-you card will do.
Reply:no, not at all i think that is a lovely gesture and will really make someones day go for it!
Reply:maybe...it really depends on the situation
Reply:I%26#039;m assuming you%26#039;re in the States in which case you probably paid through the nose for the treatment. So: no thank you required, unless there are extenuating circumstances. It is a nice gesture though; just don%26#039;t feel obliged.
Reply:Do you not think he makes enough money? Thank him and refer him to others.
Reply:I think it%26#039;s a wonderful idea! The staff will appreciate your gesture tremendously. You are very thoughtful. Great idea. It%26#039;s much better than candy. My orthodontist often scolded me on what candy and junk food I ate while undergoing treatment. So, in keeping with good dental health, flowers are best.
Reply:Yes it is appropriate.
Reply:I%26#039;m sure that it would be much appreciated by everybody that works in the dentist office. It would also make them feel appreciated.
Reply:I am sure they will love it. I was at my dentist%26#039;s office when a bouquet came as a thank you from a patient. The office went wild the girls were so happy so I bet the same thing will happen if you do it. How thoughtfull of you
Reply:No, they should send you flowers for giving them the business.
Reply:They%26#039;d probably rather you paid your bill.

Seriously, it isn%26#039;t considered necessary to send a gift to a professional office on completion of treatment. Nor do you tip your orthodontist, or the receptionist etc. Just flash them that great smile!
Reply:Absolutely not. They should be sending you flowers for all the money they have from you.
Reply:yes, but i think there are other things that would be more appreciated........i think a gift of food would be better....some baked goods, candies, etc.....whenever i wanted to say thank you to an entire office in the past i%26#039;ve given krispy kreme donuts

Are flowers a good Christmas Gift for mom?

??

Are flowers a good Christmas Gift for mom?
Flowers are a great gift and they show that you care especially when you get the ones she really likes.
Reply:If she likes flowers it is.
Reply:flowers die though, how about a gift card to the salon?
Reply:I think flowers make a beautiful Christmas gift--just bring them yourself or arrange for them to be delivered before Christmas Day itself, as most florists won%26#039;t deliver that day.

Sure, flowers are going to die, but they%26#039;re meant to be enjoyed while they%26#039;re alive. Would you rather have a week of beautiful flowers or a lifetime of a trinket collecting dust on the shelf? (Of course, these aren%26#039;t the only two options.)

1-800-flowers and FTD have beautiful arrangements. Some come with vases or baskets you can keep. If you%26#039;re putting together the arrangement yourself, you can even get great flowers at the supermarket. You can also find your own vase to put them in.
Reply:Yes, it could be a gift to mom on Christmas. But speaking for myself since I%26#039;m a mom, I like to receive flowers on other occasions but not Christmas and my b-day. Most mom prefer something very special for herself on Christmas and bday.
Reply:if she is not allergic to them, they are

or if she like plants and flowers, they are

you must know something that your mom likes, right?

good luck, holly and a jolly, and a Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night......
Reply:yea but you could do better, how about a voucher for a massage or a leg wax or a facial. Mums also love hand made gifts from their kids.
Reply:not rele, try getting her jewlery or a gift card
Reply:That depends on if she likes flowers. I love receiving flowers anythime from my children.

You could give her flowers, and/or a houseplant that lives on.
Reply:Yeah, I definitely think so; roses, orchids, special flowers are definitely great Xmas gifts for mom! Have fun!

Unique and Special Valentines Gifts for 16 Year old girlfriend?

We%26#039;ve been goin out for about 10 months, and I%26#039;ve already gotton her some cool stuff, like an engraved locket, and a real nice dooney and bourke purse, I%26#039;ve made her a really cool heart shaped book with pictures of us, and I%26#039;ve also decorated a real nice picture frame with cute stuff we both like, so those options are out. And I%26#039;m no good at poetry, and I%26#039;m not a good singer...so I really dont know what to get her, and I do have a limited amount of money, so I really cant think of anything, but i want it to be special for us...but I feel like I%26#039;ve used up all of my options, lol. Are flowers actually a nice gift? seems kinda cheesy, Idk, if you were a 16 year old gf, what would you want, what would make you really happy? lol, thanks for the help!!!!

What you already have listed there is plenty, those are great and thoughtful classy gifts! Just purchase or make her a nice heartfelt card. If you wantt, you could take her out to her favorite restaurant for a nice dinner.
Reply:flowers are nice...but the only thing about them is...they die..yea yea..so like put them in a book somewhere right? kind of romantic but if you ask me i say a huge stuffed animal and cover it in your cologne...my boyfriend did that for my christmas present at that age and omg i loved it.
Reply:a picnic would be cute somewhere special where you first kissed or hald hand the beach park on your roof

Ladies, Which do you prefer to receive as a gift, candy or flowers?

Neither,

They are sort of cliche. I would prefer something that shows that the person is thinking about ME and what I would like rather than trying to impress me.

Now the gift depends on the girl. Here are some examples:

A certificate for a free massage

A book from her favourite author

A homemade dinner

A cup of tea without being asked for it

A surprise date

Ladies, Which do you prefer to receive as a gift, candy or flowers?
I love flowers!!! They%26#039;re pretty, romantic and symbolic. Candy I can get already for no reason.
Reply:oh man thats hard, chocolate is so good but then we get fat pretty easy so flowers are the best way to go.
Reply:What planet are you from? Cash!
Reply:What are candies, are they sweets or chocolate?

If they are sweets then it depends what sweets they are, if its chocolate then i would prefer chocolates to flowers.
Reply:flowers....recieveing candy makes me feel like a pig...however flowers die rapidly and anyone over analytical would say that thats a sign of the relationship dieing quickly......i actually prefere neaither...however in your case I would have to say flowers...
Reply:Candy...Flowers just sit there and die.
Reply:your time helping me out around here
Reply:flowers even though they die fast i will dry them and keep them

but both is wonderful
Reply:I wouldn%26#039;t really want either. I would want something that you put a lot of thought into or something that you invest time and money in and can%26#039;t take back (like going out to a nice restaurant). But if I had to choose, I would pick flowers.
Reply:Flowers
Reply:Either way, they%26#039;ll both be gone in a few days or a week, but flowers are more romantic and %26quot;grown up%26quot;.
Reply:flowers always disappoint me because they always die in less then 2 weeks. i have hope they will come back, but its useless and a bit depressing. Just give me candy, its a sweet gesture, just not to much. to be honest i prefer small jewelry. because they mean something to me, i hold them dear because of the person that gave it to me. like a little heart necklace or bracelet. if you%26#039;re that special, i%26#039;ll never take it off.
Reply:oowe...i prefer gifts...but candy %26amp; flowers will do...
Reply:IM not a lady or even plannin on being one but dude a lady rather see some colorfull flowers than candy !!!

remember most of em are gonna be on a diet...
Reply:Flowers. I love when I get flowers send to my office. I don%26#039;t need the extra calories, so that%26#039;s why candy is out.
Reply:Both are a bit overused and cliche%26#039;. Something original would be more appreciated, or a sweet card or gesture. Candy and flowers are nice, but way overdone...the candy goes straight to my tochis and the flowers wilt in a few days.

Ladies, Which do you think is a sweeter gift to receive, flowers or a teddy bear?

Just curious! I usually go with the bear for my lady.

Ladies, Which do you think is a sweeter gift to receive, flowers or a teddy bear?
I like the bear--it does not die
Reply:Flowers
Reply:Teddy bear holding flowers.
Reply:Flowers because one day if you make me mad I would hate to harm a poor innocent teddy bear because of my frustration towards you.
Reply:flowers.
Reply:teddy bear

Both?

XD
Reply:i hate both.
Reply:Chocolate, flowers and jewelry! A teddy bear is cute, but....well, it%26#039;s cute.
Reply:I have gotten both. The teddy lives forever!

But you just tell that lovely lady this year.....I want it all. SO she better help you shop so you get it here in time!!! flowers, teddy bear, candy, money..... =)
Reply:I don%26#039;t like stuffed animals, so flowers. Different flowers have different meanings ie, roses=love. Much better than a teddy bear.
Reply:A single rose or some sunflowers. Daffodils are nice too, flowers

can always be dried to save or pressed on a scrapbook page.

Bears, well how many bears can ya have, I love bears but where to put them?

Just keeping it real. lol
Reply:how about both?
Reply:Definitely the bear. Flowers die after a few days, but the teddy bear sticks around for a long time.

(Well, until his little head gets ripped off when he%26#039;s doing double duty as a furry little voodoo doll of the person who gave him to you....oh. Did I say that out loud?!?)

They%26#039;re just not as serious, more casual.
Reply:Teddy bear
Reply:Since I don%26#039;t have a man in my life I would appreciate either one.
Reply:flowers, but they%26#039;re both sweet.
Reply:Depends...Cut flowers - no, they die. Live plants that flower - sexy. Teddy bear - eh, cute if you%26#039;re in the first 6 months of a relationship, after that, too childish.
Reply:Teddy bear, but if ya want for serious sweetness chocolate is the way to go
Reply:flowers!
Reply:Neither - would rather have a plant.
Reply:flowers, especially gold and bronze roses.
Reply:I say teddy bear, something I can cherish for a long time. Flowers are nice, but they die and don%26#039;t last. I like memories.
Reply:flowers die and attract bees...

teddy bears are forever, like diamonds!!
Reply:How about hand-picked flowers. That%26#039;s right, the ones that require you to enter a field with scissors. I think these flowers are the sweetest because they required effort and thought. Buying things is easy.
Reply:sucks!! you need to go with jewelery, Gold and Diamonds

Whats so great about flowers?

I want to know what’s so great about flowers not as a gift but as to our environment, what is their role in our environment? How do they help us out?

Whats so great about flowers?
1. Flowers are the reproductive structures of the flowering plants, and the flowering plants are the dominant form of plants living on Earth today.

2. Flowers have developed ingenious ways of assuring pollination.

3. Flowers contain the parts that become the seeds and fruits -- both valuable food sources for consumers.
Reply:There is something in flowers that we like. Maybe the smell, maybe the look. Maybe the understanding that the flowers are good for the bees that keep our crops going.

It almost seems to be something hardwired into us. Must be good or we would react like when we see a snake, instinctively jumping back, or when we hear a wolf and the hairs on the back of our heads stand up. Something in our past makes flowers an important part of our evolution.
Reply:flowers are just another word for weeds. i read that in a book (:

weeds are unwanted and uneeded, so to answer ur question, the only thing great about flowers are just that they look pretty. they arent good for ur soil, thats worms.

Should i get her flowers?

im going out on a first date with a girl i met online weve been talking for about two weeks and really hit it off should i bring her flowers or some other gift or is it to early for that stuff

Should i get her flowers?
flowers are really nice... and as a girl.. receiving some would make me feel so impressed or flattered... try being a complete gentleman on her... and respect is the best gift you could actually give a lady
Reply:i would say bring her some flowers, she will find that cute. Not to exspensive
Reply:Just bring one single flower, keep it simple. Doesn%26#039;t look too serious or desperate that way.

The Internet is the only way in your case. Even ifyou live down here, it is expensive. However, I would not try to send it to the hospital since here in the states women only stay about 2 days and go home. Send it to her home...less stuff to carry home from the hospital. Another suggestion would be to send a plant which will continue to grow.

Which do you prefer as a welcome gift? Chocolates or flowers?

Honestly....both. There%26#039;s nothing like a flower and a box of chocolates to signify welcome at some new place or destination.

Which do you prefer as a welcome gift? Chocolates or flowers?
Sabung (flowers). Rose petals can be eaten.
Reply:Flowers. Chocs will make me fat.
Reply:Flowers. They are more special because they were arranged for the occasion. They look beautiful on the table, and you feel good looking at them (and showing them off).

Conversely, chocolates are things we buy, with or without any special occasion. In that sense, it is a notch (at least) less specail than flowers when presented as gifts.

I want to send my gf flowers. The problem is, she is in Korea. Anyone know how I get flowers over there?
FTD delivers world wide. (no, I can%26#039;t remember what that stands for) Just go to the website, and tell them where you want them sent.

The only thing you need is a credit card.
Reply:Yes,

I know exactly what you could do.

There are green houses and flower places every where all you would need to do is send some money over to the nearest store they have and tell them to deliver some. and they will reach the nearst one in korea that could deliver then to her. and if you would like to buy her a gift.. buy her a gift then send it to her in the mail. If that doesn%26#039;t work then just get her a card an send.
